Below is a link to an interesting article demonstrating once again how far some people will go to file an insurance claim. This upstate NY man (not too far from our offices actually) set his house trailer on fire. It then exploded, allegedly throwing him 35 feet and causing some injuries. He filed an insurance claim and received about $2,000 in funds as a result. An investigation has now uncovered the fact that he set the fire himself, and he faces the possibility of up to 15 years in prison for arson and insurance fraud. Was it really worth it buddy?
